Don Alaryn Aecanstaef

Don Alaryn started out in the SCA many years ago as a 10th century Saxon from the southeast of England. He has since however been drug forward in time into the 16th century due to the influence of his wife, (the Honorable Lady Elizabeth deGresse), who refused to marry a barbarian Saxon. Don Alaryn spends time studying the mysteries of brewing, English backsword, particularly the teachings of George Silver, adapting historical combat studies to SCA Rapier combat, Cut and Thrust combat, teaching rapier combat, and archery. He has also dabbled in a number of other arts including painting and drawing, horn and bone working and cooking, as well as period gardening and period medicinal plants.
